New York City deaths also peaked one month ago and then quickly dropped off. The peak, in New York City, was about 4/7/2020 at about 520 deaths. On 5/6/2020 less than 50 deaths were reported.

On 3/15/2020 about 10 deaths were counted. On 4/8/2020 about 530 deaths were attributed to Covid-19 in New York City. On 5/5/2020 only about 30 deaths were attributed to Covid-19 in New York City.
NYC Can't Hide
NYC, due to its larger population, cannot so easily hide the drop in cases being over one month since the peak.
There was also never a
flattening, they went up one side and quickly down the other (despite increased testing).
