New York State: Past the Peak
Positive Percentage Chart
New York State hit a peak in deaths on April 10th and has fallen off quickly without any
flattening. 216 deaths today (5/6/2020) is half of the average number of deaths on any given day in NYS.
NYS has likewise dropped off in
positive test results from the peak on March 31st, 2020.
The horizontal axis includes labeled dates. This graph begins 3/5/2020 and ends 5/6/2020. The vertical axis includes labeled percentages in ten percent increments. Each percentage represents the ratio of Covid-19 tests to positive test results. (tests/positive results)
For example, on 3/11/2020 approximately 14% of all people tested for Coronavirus were positive. They had the virus. On 3/31/2020 almost 50% of all those tested for Coronavirus had positive test results. On 5/6/2020 10% of tests returned positive results.
The peak, as mentioned above, is based on the trend line showing April 10th, 2020 near the top of the curve at about 42%. The curve begins and ends at about 10%. By 5/6/2020 New York State had approximately the same number of positive test results as they had in the beginning on 3/31/2020.
Numbers Don't Lie
New York's government seems more intent on killing the economy and supporting socialism than actually looking at the numbers. The curve went up then back down again, yet the economy remained closed past the beginning of June.
